He recommended deleting the offending partition, booting back into Windows and then, using Partition Master, doing the conversion from MBR to GPT. He remotely checked out the hard drive using TeamViewer and Partition Master. This remote session happened about 30 minutes ago.
I contacted Tech Support and following a bit of email toing and froing trying a few things unsuccessfully, they gave me a link to do a remote session with Tech Support. But I was nervous about deleting it, "just in case" it was something essential to Windows. I checked the hard drive partitions and there was one partition that looked "wrong". Should have been a fairly straightforward matter but Partition Master kept throwing up error message about being unable to convert to GPT. My hard drive was MBR and it needed to be converted to GPT in order to proceed with Windows 11. On my main machine I recently began the process of upgrading Windows 10 to Windows 11 and ran into a snag. I have been involved with building and refurbishing computers for 30 years and used Partition Master for many years. Very Helpful Tech Support ~ Partition Master
